Back to new for 18 Mercedes V6 engines

Eighteen Mercedes-Benz V6 OM501 Diesel engines have been completely reconditioned for a private customer by the Foxwood Diesel workshop team based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

The engines were delivered to Foxwood Diesel’s Chesterfield workshop from overseas two months ago and since then they have undergone a complete refurbishment to restore them to full working order using Mercedes replacement parts.

Each engine has been meticulously machined, assembled and cleaned to as new factory standard at the Foxwood Diesel workshop. The reconditioning of a used Mercedes-Benz engine starts with its complete disassembly in the workshop. Wear parts such as bearing shells, pistons and bushings are replaced with new parts. All other parts undergo quality and functional tests. The parts have to meet the same strict standards as new ones. Once the refurbishment is complete, every Mercedes-Benz reconditioned engine corresponds to the stock condition of a new engine.

The 18 refurbished engines, which all have a 12-month guarantee, are now destined for worldwide distribution.
